Vinous and fresh, with a kind of spring style. The nose gives violets, flowers and fresh raspberries enhanced by notes of blood oranges and cinnamon. Supple and silky on the palate, it shows weight, a medium to full body and firm, velvety tannins. It’s still youthful and fragrant, with crisp acidity and a savory, floral finish. Drinkable now, but best from the second half of 2025.

The 2022 Rosso di Montalcino opens with a cool mix of mentholated herbs, white smoke and citrus-tinged blackberries. It's ripe in style yet with a core of zesty acidity to balance, displaying spiced cherries and traces of inner sage. It leaves the palate drenched in primary concentration, finishing long and staining with a pleasantly bitter tinge.

A rich ruby color, the 2022 Rosso Di Montalcino is generous and ripe on opening, with notes of preserved cherries, crushed flowers, and rosemary. The palate is fruity and fills with ripe tannins, nice savory accents, and a warming feel throughout. At 15% alcohol, it delivers the warmth and is going to be best enjoyed over the near term.
