The 2022 version of our "entry level" bottling is primarily from Jason and Cheryl Tsai's Resplendor (formerly Elvenglade) Vineyard in the northern part of Yamhill-Carlton near Gaston. We were able to secure 10 tons of fruit from this terrific 25 year-old vineyard in the last moments of the 2022 harvest to make up for a shortfall in our estate vineyard due to frost damage in April. True to it's Yamhill-Carlton roots, this wine reflects the darker side of Pinot Noir flavors and aromas, but with a freshness that is the hallmark of the 2022 vintage. As always, this "simple" Willamette Valley bottling delivers quality and value far exceeding it's humble price. Enjoy over the next several years!
