Cask-aged for 14 months, the 2022 El Anden De La Estacion is a youthful, approachable blend of 65% Tempranillo and 35% Garnacha, the first one made in 2016. Fermented using indigenous yeast, it’s left on the lees to soften the texture and accentuate the red and black cherry and berry fruit. It’s quite delightful and impressively well-made for the price point, full-bodied but balanced. Drink now.

With pleasing purity and expressive character, this Tempranillo-Garnacha blend brings together berries and bramble, anise and spice, and savory notes. Balanced structure keeps the wine approachable while layered.

The 2022 Crianza Muga El Andén de la Estación is a blend of 70% Tempranillo and 30% Garnacha from Rioja Alta and was aged for 14 months. The Garnacha dominates in the slightly sanguine nose with sweet and sour cherry, red fruit and a hint of rose, avoiding the more sun-kissed tones in spite of the warm year. Light in the mouth with grippy tannins and a medium body, this is a fruit-driven Rioja in which the year has defined the texture.

Lots of dark cherries, spices, ink and a touch of chocolate on the nose. Juicy and slightly chewy on the palate, with a medium body and a medium-long finish. Tempranillo and garnacha. Drink now.
