Isabel Sauvignon Blanc 2022
|New Zealand, Marlborough, Wairau Valley
Shows hints of beeswax and spiced poached pear, which add complexity to the core of citrus and fresh herbal notes on a smooth, juicy frame, while lemon blossom accents linger. Drink now. 50,000 cases made, 3,000 cases imported.
Pungent onion and dried herb aromas are at the fore. The grassy, passionfruit and citrus notes are tucked beneath, though, with aeration in glass they become more prominent. The palate is dry with bright, tingly acidity and a lengthy limey finish. Fresh, fruity and with some textural weight to hold up to a range of spring and summer dishes.
